About me

Hi I’m Angie Lam, thank you for reading my blog. Since 1997, I developed a keen interest in the beauty industry not because I wanted to make myself more beautiful, but purely based on the simple thought of giving people comfort with beauty solutions and massage therapies, especially those who struggle with skin problems without professional advice. I had friends and families buying skincare products that claim to contain safe and suitable ingredients, but ultimately their skin problems do not get resolved. Therefore I enrolled for courses to attain beauty and skincare knowledge and graduated in 2003. To date, I have acquired 8 years of experience in the beauty line, having worked for companies like Dermalogical, Cellnique and ESPA Health Care. Through research and studies, I have found that no product can result in good looking skin if one does not practice a proper lifestyle, healthy food intake and sufficient amount of sleep. Also, most products in the market contain harsh chemicals that can negatively affect the skin’s condition.

I then started to look for natural ingredients to be incorporated into skincare products to improve skin texture. Essential oils, fruits and food work very well to balance hormones, de-stress the body and is also effective in combating skin problems like eczema, acne, sensitive skin. Organic soaps will also cleanse and improve the skin’s texture without drying skin, especially when they contain the main ingredient of olive oil which is a powerful antioxidant that can help skin retain moisture while nourishing and protecting it. These soaps are non-greasy and non-comedogenic (does not clog the pores). It has also been proven to accelerate the healing process due to its high Vitamin E content.

Organic Shea Butter is the second important ingredient. This wonderful butter has incredible moisturising and healing capabilities and Vitamins A, E and F (http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-vitamin-f.htm) in the butter are important to improve the following conditions: dry skin and rashes, blemishes, wrinkles, sunburn, itches, superfluous wounds and cracked skin, stretch marks, skin allergies, eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis etc; its beneficial properties are endless. It is an incredible feat of nature that the moisturisers in Shea Butter are the same moisturisers produced by sebaceours glands in our skin. Shea butter contains natural UV sun protection and daily use on the face and body drastically reduces sun exposure, which in turn slows down the rate of aging.

Everyone needs to have a healthy skin. The best always comes from Nature.
